NO WAY WITHOUT THE LEGEND

As you may know the reading and the search for authoritative information is the foundation of our road. We are not inventing anything, we are re-discovering a route that was very busy time ago to go to Compostela (and of course it is not medieval, is modern, because its peak was in the XV and XVI). The population to which we refer is Siete Aguas, the pre-Requena on the road from Valencia to Santiago. Requena was annexed to Valencia in 1850 approx, before we were province of Cuenca, which meant that "the door of the Kingdom (Valencia)" was Siete Aguas. The people lived doomed to commuter service and pilgrims on the Camino Real from Valencia to Toledo. There was a large hospital (Spital for poor patients, bystanders and strangers ") that lasted until 1830, which is referred to several pastoral visits, listing her dowry of beds, linen, land, etc. This was an important fact. But we lacked the users, pilgrims who pass through here on their way. Siete Aguas
was venerated in a Christ of the Afflicted that burned in the Civil War. It was considered the beginning of s. XV, although there was no record of his own. It was called "Crocificio" or "Holy Christ" until in 1852 the priest convened a consultation to give an invocation, out of the Afflicted. The popular legend of his arrival at Seven Water is the element that gave us all we need. I copy / hit the book "Seven Waters and things" Jose M ª Corbin Carbó:

" In the early fifteenth century, when the greater the movement of pilgrims to Compostela passed through our village, came to this hospital two young people seem to foreigners, who walk their way to visit the tomb of Santiago. They stayed there for several days and disappeared leaving the room they occupied
the magnificent Crocificio.
much fun as people assembled in the happy event and when the justices were concerned with the priest's fate had to give that image appeared so strangely, emissaries arrived Conde de Urgel, then lord of the Barony, which had heard of the miracle, to be delivered to the image and brought to his residence in Castle Buñol. Produced outrage in the town of Urgel layout, but, fearing the anger of the Lord is prepared to obey it, but soon tried to dissuade him, for which authorities declined to Buñol
Seven-Water to meet with the Count.
counting continues the tradition that Don Jaime de Urgel wanted to come in person to admire the sea and marvel as beautiful as they enter the hospital and see the magnificent picture was so charmed neglecting her that the reasons of his subjects were arranged in a mule loaded his entourage and transported to the Castle of Buñol to be placed in its chapel.
Between the sobs of religious people is available from the entourage escorting the mule that carried so precious cargo, but the cries became successful admiration at seeing the quadruped was not a step forward despite the onslaught of spanking and Mulatero . Finally pulled the mule, but to the crowd, and hastily made his way and could not be achieved continued up to the Arc de Candilejo,
stopped. Again he wanted to take the animal to Buñol and stubbornly opposed, not allowing the door to be moved of the Church, where he was, until the holy image was downloaded, and viewed as a great miracle by the Earl, decided will stay between us. "
Like all legends, have some truth. It is clear that I will not go to Christ on his back (the bag and pay for my sins), but we are two pilgrims, regulars at that time by the people who brought you, is what gives overtones of reality for the people, and it provided a plausible explanation for the appearance of Christ.
and nothing else, all these data are taken from that book, full of citations to documents in the Archive Parish of Seven Waters and the belongings of Valencia, some missing in 1936 but all testable. "Pilgrims to Santiago Siete Aguas? Well then it must follow Requena, Cuenca, Villaconejos, Atienza, etc. "He who has ears to hear." A hug

Y LLEGO EL DIA DE SANTIAGO

After this long period of inactivity on the Blog, summer vacations are for that, to rest, back up the work to keep you informed of everything that comes in this little piece of the Camino de Santiago, good bit is to put in some form since from Valencia to Monteagudo de las Salinas is about 170 km

As I said the James Day was a total success of participation met around 25 pilgrims to somehow honor Santiago in the best possible way, and was to conduct a 14-km stretch of road to the nearby city of Utiel. It was a casual morning and that apart from cross it, including lunch, will take the opportunity to review some signs, we thank all who participated and we call on all future occasions to participate in the acts let's go by.

Alexis Texas Black Guy??

Yesterday, Wednesday was a strange day, where I had to confront the cultural differences between Germany and I like America. was a day of cultural schock. in the afternoon and I knocked on the door and since we hate to answer the bell (same as the phone when the caller is not) because Fermin intercom barks and does not understand anything that says the person it touches. open the door and was sort of a power company, with ID and everything and informs me that he had decided that the street where I live exchange energy supplier, I found it odd, but (and there is a little bit my fault) A . is who takes care of bureaucratic things like electricity bills and so on, and thought I could be true. the guy in question asked me who was our previous supplier of electricity, I say 3 times you have to come back another day and talk to A. he insists that information be gathered today and tomorrow we would call the new company. say the name of the supplier and then takes a role that I sign, I see it (the German bureaucrat is a thing apart), I see nowhere that says Vertrag that is the word for contract, asked 1000 times if this is a contract and 1000 times I replied that no, it's just proof that he was there to inform us of the change of company and collect our data. the guy is going, I am left with a strange sensation, and suddenly I feel very stupid, and clear call to A. and actually me put their fingers in their mouths, for what turned out to be firm if a contract! I've never felt so stupid as yesterday. (Thankfully everything is now under, A. furious call to the company, the company apologized for the behavior of this type and annulled the contract). What never ceases to amaze me is how I fell in Bolivia always has to be careful of swindlers, thieves and other vermin, but I never imagine that in Germany, a law firm and existing uses that way to find new customers . with a simple lie. some research and these sellers are playing the bells where foreign names (of course, as foreigners are gross and anafalbetos and also afraid of German law and the rules and try be correct etc). Yesterday I wanted to call the police, or find the guy and yell and hit even better, but apparently there is no legal penalty for what he did, so I had to put my pride and be as foreign boluda. lesson learned, and by the way never ever going to answer the damn ring, so if someone visits me, kindly call on the phone earlier.
the second experience also happened yesterday, hours after the incident with this guy. Sunday at 19 hrs. I had a working dinner with people from the foundation where I work. I had worked so far only three people, who vouch for the project, but yesterday was dinner with some directors of regional offices comment and get their impressions of the project. something that always catches my attention from the Germans (and bothers me) is that they are talking of the weather so, speak with an authority that anyone would believe the person in question is a doctorate in meteorology. Well here, dodne all had a greater or lesser degree a doctorate or something similar, imagenense the tone of authority which was being discussed. I realized that many had no more experience in regard to interaction with artists (they have not because you have it) the problem is speaking in the tone of someone who does have it. then the discussion is developing for hours about whether the artist Llibertad (all, but all such events, calls etc have a specific topic, so it is not no big deal for an artist working with a subject), or if a call if you choose only one or one and that is poor with the other elected. all this is still not have something concrete and not decided anything in itself. this tone of authority I also perceived as aggression. is not so, and that's just my perception because in Latin America we tend to "sweeten the pill" and in this type of contacts a tendency to see diplomacy as a quality, which I had expertise, to smile and nod and say yes, but if maybe just "at the end of that so often channeled things where it felt right. well here it does not exist, it is super straight, and so yesterday was a normal reunion work (even told me quite soft) between Germans in Latin America had been a source of conflict. I'm not entirely sure yet what my position in the project (how much authority I have) and I was pretty warm when I express my opinion, because even I do not get answered with the same degree of aggressiveness and arrogance with which the Germans do. That's one thing to learn. so as here the Germans have to take courses for small talk and flirting (which if any!) should be courses for foreigners where we learn to "enhance our aggressiveness optimally for enhanced self esteem" or "development of verbal and physical arrogance productive element in interpersonal relationships. " is more, how about a tandem?
anyway, so it was yesterday, this morning I had to think long before I get over the rage! in another tone, change the whole room instead, and went back to have my work mini corner by the window, and if everything looks better today.

Free Galleries Of Milena Velba

How boring this blog
Without drawings Might Be, But really i have at the moment and Stock Interest in drawing, my head is full with the project I am working in, ideas and numbers and strategies. Was a really busy this week, with a 3 day intensive workshop, and next week meetings and more meetings, But I am enjoying it soo much! and I am learning That the Germans are not so perfect or efficient as one learns to think, which is good because it makes them more human and I am learning to be less afraid of them. actually I am meeting some nice people. today I had my first belly dancing class, well it is actually a course to strengthen the spine through belly dancing moves. it was great, lots of fun, nice music and I can really feel the workout! I am feeling my whole body at the moment. the teacher is a german woman who more than a belly dancer looks like a valkyrie. she is about 55 or maybe more, huge as german women can be but she dances so gracefully and beautifully! I am looking forward to my next class already. I think every woman should at least once in her life take a belly dancing class, it does wonders to self steem, while dancing one feels like the sexiest goddess ever.
although I have been so busy these last weeks, it´s been months since I had migraine or felt really stressed, I am doing 40 minutes of yoga and 20 minutes of meditation each morning and I really believe that it is giving me a balance and peace I never had. also I am grateful for the sessions I had with the osteopath, I can feel my body is better aligned. the swimming pool is finally open so I´ll try going next week. everyday it´s getting colder so I guess it´s time I take my herbs inside, but I think I will use all the basil I have to make pesto and then freeze it.
so goes life in berlin. to give the blog a bit of color, a couple of photos from last weekend´s visit to a park.
